Lenovo, the largest purveyor of PC’s in China has announced its intention to sell the Andriod based LePhone in China starting in May. Our friends over at Engadget have reported on this most recent development in the Google vs China showdown. Newsworthy itself because the world is now just months away from holding the oh so georgous LePhone, but even moreso since Google has been able to hold back Samsung and Motorola from bringing their goods to market. Lenovo who already has the home field advantage seems poised to feed the hungry horde that is the Chinese Android market and scoop up the #1 title in that arena also. Motorola on the other hand who hasn’t seemed so fashionable since its Razr days needs as much help as it can get. So it will be interesting to see if they continue to tow the Google line.. or is it a leash.. and if it were a leash.. who’s holding what end? Feel free to weigh in folks. Find Engadgets take on the matter after the jump.

So you’ve heard some talk about upgrading to Exchange 2010, but that it requires an upgrade to BES 5.0.. and to do both they can’t schedule it for another six months.. eeegads. You’ve got the solution though right chap? Baking the perfect tablet. Cupertino et al take heed. Recently we’ve been inundated with renderings and details on the upcoming offerings from Apple, HTC, and HP. All those are swell, and some even pretty darn swelte. Though all still need our improvements.
The key ingredients of our Tablet Supreme are going to be as follows.
- 1x Laser Keyboard
- 1x Front facing camera with gesture based input
- 4x SSD drives in Raid
- 1x Tail
- 1x Any well designed tablet with loads of battery life
Current tablet drawbacks lie in their ability to be used for an extended period of time. Go ahead and try to type a letter on a tablet laid flat on your desk. Notice your neck straining as you peer over your hands, or perhaps the carpal tunnel setting in on your wrists from the scrunch? Maybe it’s your frustration at having to hold it upright at just the right angle whilst you read the latest Stephen King novel. This is how we can help.
First the tail, the goal is a support that will allow us to tilt and swivel our tablet on a bevy of surfaces. An airplane seatback table, or a bed piled high with pillows and streaming sunlight. Extend the tail and use it to angle the tablet almost upright but turned just slightly for the least glare. As our Tablet Supreme sits we’ve our hands free to munch popcorn. Wait.. popcorn?? The horrors.. imagine buttery fingerprints. Not quite.
The laser keyboard. The gently angled tablet at a buttons touch casts a red eerie image across our tabletop. Away we go, first letter? Dear Steve Jobs, We’ve some improvements for your tablet.. and so on. Comfortably typing our lengthy letter without straining anything… except maybe our brains.
Speaking of strain.. imagine how much you’re going to love playing Crysis on this tablet now that we’ve baked in Quad SSDs striped in Raid 0. Yes, we’ve taken this cue from Sony’s new Vaio Z. Whoever said slow and steady… didn’t play games much.
Now here’s our magnum opus, the front camera with gesture based input. Browse the web by clicking away and scrolling simply by waving and tapping in mid-air, improving our tablets e-book reading capabilities the most. You haven’t read a book until you’ve read one handsfree. Voila!! Our Tablet Supreme is complete, please see prices with care..
